Brian Baker

Brian founded Plus One Partners to provide strategic, structural and management support to help growing companies maximize their sales and marketing investments. He is a results-oriented executive with a proven track record for successfully executing strategic revenue objectives.

Brian is an innovative trainer and leader, motivating his team to consistently exceed expectations. He specializes in directing complex, high-pressure, multimillion-dollar sales programs by combining his extensive experience with sound business leadership.

Prior to founding Plus One Partners, Brian served as the Vice President of Sales at Hosted Solutions, where he defined the company's sales strategy to successfully catapult the company revenue from $9M to $49M in less than 4 years. Leading this growth culminated in the sales of Hosted Solutions to a private equity firm in 2008 for a purchase price of $144M. In 2010, Brian was awarded the prestigious"40 Under 40" Award from the Triangle Business Journal, which recognizes an accomplishments in business as well as contributions to the community.

Brian has spent his entire career in sales, as an executive, manager and individual contributor. Brian held sales management positions at Hosted Solutions and NuVox Communications as well as account executive positions at BTI and AT&T.

In order to stay ahead of a constantly changing business landscape, Brian is enterprising in his ongoing education. He participates in multiple sales and management seminars, including SPIN Selling, Solution Selling, Total Account Management, and the Sales Leader Roundtable.

Brian is a family man and an active member of the community. He serves as a volunteer for Band Together NC, the American Cancer Society, the WakeMed Foundation, and Soccer Kids of America.
